Fall Ladies Brunch

FALL LADIES BRUNCH. A simple, easy and affordable fall themed brunch. Complete with tableware, decor, food and drink ideas!

It’s another ladies brunch! This time it’s my fall ladies brunch.

Since I’ve decided to start living my life as a women again, and not just a mom, my life has improved greatly. I swear when I wrote my How to be a selfish mother post, I did it for selfish reasons. I, of course, am here for you guys but sometimes when writing posts they’re reminders for myself. The entire point of that post is to remember who you are and why you need to do things for yourself.

These brunches are one of those things I do for myself. Hanging out with my friends, eating and drinking and just generally being really loud. I’m serious. We get crazy loud at our get togethers – but I love it.

Before we jump into the fall brunch, head to my Summer Ladies Brunch for more inspiration. And I’ll work on the to do list of everything that happens before the brunch soon! And last house keeping item…if you’re in Southern California hire Lauren Garcia Photography for your party photos!

For a quick link of all the items listed below, head to my Amazon store – Brunch Supplies.

THEME

Pumpkins, pine cones, fall colors – pretty generic stuff but why complicate nature’s beauty? Plus, I’m obsessed with fall, so you know there will be pumpkins.

TABLEWARE – KEEPING

I’m still using the same stuff from my summer brunch! And really freaking happy with everything I chose! Plus, that means I only paid for drinks, napkins and flowers this time around. For a quick link to all the items listed below, head to my Amazon store – Brunch Supplies.

  • Chargers
    • Faux wooden ones work with each season and give a nice contrast to the white plates
    • They’re super awesome and holding up so well – I love them
  • Plates
    • These delicate and detailed plastic plates are the stuff of dreams and the set includes both dinner and dessert plates
    • They’re still holding up! I did break two plates at this brunch though because there was too much weight on them. I thought I’d have to throw away the plates with stains but the dishwasher completely cleans them
  • Tablecloths
    • I had my own or borrowed from my Mom, but the one linked looks good
  • Folding tables
    • I also had my own. You should definitely have at least two around the house. However, you can rent tables for cheap too
  • Chairs
    • I used my own mismatched ones, but I’m thinking of slowly building a collection that matches. You can also rent these too
  • Pine cones
    • I actually had these in my fall decor but you can find them at a craft store or online
  • Mini pumpkins
    • I got these from the Target dollar spot, but you know how that goes – it’s gone in a second, but I’ve linked some good options

TABLEWARE – THROWING AWAY

  • Napkins
    • I bought these orange napkins from Amazon for $3! That’s insane
  • Utensils
    • Gold for the win – don’t they look amazing
    • These were in the reusing category but I’ve decided against it. There are so many in the box, it’s not worth it. Plus they hold stains and don’t really come clean, even in the dishwasher
  • Cups
    • Clear cups trimmed with a little gold. This packages actually includes polka dot napkins I used on my bar cart too
    • These were also in the reusing category but I’ve decided against it for the same reasons I did the utensils. They hold stains and there are a lot of them
  • Butcher paper runner
    • I actually used up my daughter’s butcher paper roll we had around the house for her crafts. So that was easy.
  • Eucalyptus
    • I bought a ton of eucalyptus and one fall bouquet from Trader Joes. They’re typically cheaper there and you can order ahead so you are guaranteed to have your flowers day of. Plus you can dry out eucalyptus, so now my house is covered in it!

BRUNCH PASTRIES & COFFEE TABLE

  • Folding table
    • One small one for the pastries & coffee table. I find these smaller tables always come in handy
  • Tablecloth
    • I borrowed my moms, so think about asking friends and family. Otherwise I linked one as an option
  • Pedestal stands
    • I picked up mine up from Marshall’s, but the one I bought is linked here, it’s just more expensive.
  • Beverage dispenser
    • I already had it and I’ve had it for years. I recommend getting one of these as well
  • Vase
    • I had all the vases I used but if you need to start a small collection check out the link or maybe thrift a few
  • Glass coffee carafe with creamer & sugar holder
    • The coffee carafe is vintage and a gift from my husband, but google it and you can find a ton. I’ve had my creamer and sugar set since we got married from Crate & Barrel
  • Coffee cups
    • Disposable. I know disposable isn’t the best but it’s so easy. But I just found these rose gold ones I linked and now I’m thinking I want these

BAR CART

  • Bar cart
    • Again, I had my vintage bar cart. It’s actually a vintage Salton hot tray cart, but I use it as a bar cart. I know it’s so hard to find an affordable bar cart but that’s why you go to flea markets, thrift stores, yard sales, Facebook marketplace, etc…If you don’t love digging though stuff, I’ve linked one that looks good
  • Hello Autumn tea towel
    • This is actually a kitchen towel from Tea + Linen that’s so cute I wanted to display it. They just came out with a towel that has fringe on the bottom which I love
  • Vase
    • I have vases but I linked a cute one
  • Eucalyptus
    • I thought my bar cart needed a little extra something so I took some of the real Eucalyptus and placed it on the bottom of the cart.
  • Pitcher
    • I had a subscription to GlobeIn, it’s an artisan subscription box of handmade and ethically sources goods and in one of the boxes there was this super cool pitcher
  • Ice bucket
    • I picked up my vintage penguin ice bucket from an antique store. If you like it, just google that and there are a ton, otherwise I’ve linked a newer one
  • Reamer
    • Once again, it’s a vintage glass reamer that I picked up at an antique store – you can always find them. But I’ve linked a new one just in case
  • Napkins
    • Remember these cute polka dot napkins came with the plastic cups I ordered

BRUNCH FOOD

So yes. In order to throw a stress-free brunch the key word is: potluck. Everyone brought something to eat and I made sure we had an even amount of sweet and savory items.

Just take a look at those jumbo pumpkin muffins from Simply Muffins. They’re absolutely delicious and vegan! You can order from her – she’s out of Southern California.

However, if I did end up cooking I would definitely pick some items from my favorite breakfast recipes : blueberry french toast casserole and easy cheesy breakfast casserole. And probably a recipe or two from my favorite pumpkin recipes from bars to coffee cake – all perfect for a brunch.

BRUNCH DRINKS

  • Coffee
    • How can it be brunch without coffee? Klatch coffee is one of my favorites but also, so the pre-ground grocery store coffee, Don Franscico’s
  • Non-Alcoholic Red Wine
    • One was good – Zero Zero, one wasn’t – Tinto. That being said, I think non-alcoholic wines can be all over the place. One bottle of the same wine can be good and the next bad – for the exact same wine! Particularly reds
  • Orange Juice
    • Again, it’s still technically breakfast so serve OJ
  • Sparkling water
    • I love Spindrift, it’s my favorite sparkling water but also Trader Joe’s individual cans particularly the cranberry & lime are good too

Let me know when you’ll be hosting your ladies brunch and how it goes! Feel free to comment below or tell me over on Instagram.

Such a beautiful table setting. I love your use of layering with the autumn foliage is just so inviting. It is important to have a sense of oneself and motherhood has a way of challenging that notion! Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

DIY Home Decor

I know this is oddly specific, polishing hardware on mid-century modern side tables, but trust me you can apply this to all hardware on any of your furniture! We found these matching side tables at Fleaesta – well my husband did. I was at home by the time he ran across them and we were on the fence. Well, I was because I wanted to
