I adore these washi tape Ramadan lanterns. I think they’re fun, different and awesome. And honestly, they are not hard!

If you prefer absolute perfection then yes, these might be difficult. But if you’re cool with them having some, character, then let’s do this.

You might remember my other Ramadan washi tape decor, the Ramadan washi tape frames. Well once I did those, I was like, what else can I do!? Then I looked around at my decor and thought lanterns, and here we are.

Head to my Girl Refurbished IGTV to watch how easy they are to put up.

As always, make sure to follow to me on IG for all Ramadan & Eid content and check out the other Ramadan & Eid content on my Ramadan & Eid page and follow me in Pinterest.

The first thing I did was sketch out lantern shape ideas. And I use the word sketch lightly. I am no artist.

Next, you’ll need to figure out where you’d like the lanterns. Then start taping. Now since I did a video and never took photos…it’s best to go to my IGTV video for all the details. But here’s what they look like!

I wanted to demonstrate having them appear as if they’re coming from a place, like under the mantel, or just free floating.

After I did mine, my daughter loved them so much she sketched out her own lanterns – no joke. And then had me recreate those lanterns in her room. Here’s one.

And another one. So I tried my best to recreate her drawings on the wall and she was so, so excited! This is actually a fun family activity!

And here’s the vibe back in the family room.
