Coordinating Family Outfits

I got a great response a while ago when I posted a picture of myself and the kids, all in coordinating family outfits – navy striped shirts to be precise. While I never thought I’d match with my kids, I ended up switching positions, but only sightly. I consider coordinating clothes to be a cousin of full on matching – but with more style.

So I was thrilled to work with Lavender Sun and try out their kid’s clothes! They happen to have some awesome black and white striped clothes for the kids. I happen to already have a black and white striped shirt myself – shocker. So it was a matter of finding coordinating clothes for the kids.

I was pleasantly surprised with the range of items from Lavender Sun. All of the items are cute and range from hipster to kitschy. And it’s free shipping on all orders – yes please.

The website was super easy to navigate. I really liked the search options they have because I didn’t feel like putting together outfits, so I just shopped the outfits section.

I purchased the Mrs. Stevens 2 piece set, for my daughter and the Stripey Tuesday 2 piece set for my son, both $14.95 each.

Let’s start with my daughters outfit. I love the feathered out sleeves and the pockets in her shorts. My girl loves a good pocket! The shorts actually kind of look like a skort – very cute. She wears a 4T and the fit was spot on. Overall, both parties, the toddler and the mom, were very happy with her Lavender Sun outfit.

My son’s outfit was a soft cotton – which I prefer for his newborn skin. I specifically got a size up, 6-12 months, and now I’ll be able to keep his outfit for several months instead of just one month. And with him I need that – he’s only four and a half months! I think his outfit is super cute – and a little hipster. Plus the separates can be matched with other clothing items.

Overall, I would definitely recommend you take a look at Lavender Sun for the babies and toddlers in your life. It’s affordable, super cute and we were able to find coordinating family outfits for the family.

diy succulent vase or planter

I hoard stuff. This time it was a left over vase from a set of flowers my lovely husband had got me. It’s a puke green vase, that depending on the light, looks even worse. But something about the geometric shape made me say, save it, it’ll look pretty painted. And that’s what I did. Now it’s the perfect DIY succulent vase. I knew I
